Dr Geoffrey Nuttall, Art Pursuits Abroad
After degrees in Philosophy at UCL, and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge, Dr Geoffrey Nuttall followed his wife Paula into art history and now combines the role of Journals Publisher at Edinburgh University Press with Visiting Lecturer at the Courtauld Institute of Art. He completed his PhD at the Courtauld in 2013 and is a specialist in the Courts of Europe and their dealings with the merchants of luxury goods. He has published on the relationship between Lucca and other cities and rulers north and south of the Alps, lectured at the V&A and various international conferences, and recently held a fellowship at the Huntington Collections and Art Gallery in California.
